The training course offers a broad introduction to the world of offshore engineering and focuses on the technical and operational aspects of offshore installations. You learn how offshore platforms are designed, built and managed, and which disciplines play a role within projects. The training course covers piping engineering, equipment, instrumentation, the design process and environmental factors such as climate, movement, depth and corrosion. By linking theory directly to practical examples, you gain a realistic picture of working offshore.
During the Offshore Engineering training course, the following topics are covered:
After completing the training course, you will have a solid technical foundation and understand how offshore installations are designed, built and managed. You will be able to better substantiate technical decisions and gain insight into the processes that make offshore work so distinctive.
This training course is suitable for mechanical engineers, piping designers, engineers and other technical professionals with ambitions in the offshore process industry. It is also highly suitable for candidates who want to build a solid basic understanding of the offshore sector. Basic knowledge of piping or mechanical engineering is an advantage, but not required.
The Offshore Engineering training course consists of 2 evenings, from 17:30 to 22:00.
Study materials and a certificate of participation are included. The fee is €745 per person, excluding VAT.
For former or current participants in our Piping Design & Engineering programme, we offer the option to participate at a reduced rate.
