Course programme
The training course starts with your own DISC profile. This profile provides insight into your preferred style and shows how you tend to communicate and respond, including when pressure increases. This forms the starting point for the rest of the training. We then examine the behaviour of others. You learn how different styles become visible in communication, pace and decision-making.
By recognising these differences, it becomes clearer why conversations sometimes become difficult or why people work past one another.
Using DISC cards and the qualities game, you learn to describe behaviour in concrete terms. This helps make behaviour discussable without making it personal, allowing you to adjust situations earlier. The focus then shifts to application. You learn how to adapt your own behaviour to the situation and to the person in front of you. You also learn how to steer conversations and prevent communication from getting stuck or escalating.
In role plays, you work with realistic situations from practice. You receive direct feedback on your behaviour and immediately apply it again, so you can see the effect of your adjustments straight away.
During the training course, we combine in-depth insight with direct practical exercises:
- Insight into your own behaviour: Discover your own DISC preferred style, automatic responses and how your behaviour either supports or obstructs others under pressure.
- Recognising and understanding behaviour: Learn to recognise how DISC styles work in others. Discover differences in pace, decision-making and approach in practice.
- Making behaviour discussable: Use the qualities game and DISC cards to describe behaviour in concrete and objective terms, without labelling people.
- Aligning and steering communication
Learn to adapt your own behaviour to each situation. Prevent misunderstandings and learn to steer conversations when interests clash or resistance arises.

Why choose Dosign Academy
Many standard courses on behaviour and communication miss the mark in technical environments. Engineers are solution-oriented and pragmatic. That is why you choose a DISC course specifically aligned with the dynamics of the industrial and technical sector.
Focus on practical application
We do not approach DISC as a theoretical model you need to memorise, but as a practical tool for the workplace. This is not about tricks, but about using your communication style consciously to prevent impasses and keep projects moving.
Practising with a training actor
The training course is highly practical. In role plays with a professional training actor, you work exclusively with realistic situations from your own working environment. You immediately experience the effect of your behaviour and see how small adjustments in your approach can lead to a completely different outcome.
The importance of DISC in technical environments
In technical environments, content alone is often not enough to create movement. When communication between an engineer and a project manager, client or stakeholder breaks down because of conflicting behavioural styles, this immediately costs time, money and energy.
By following a professional DISC training course, you learn to recognise resistance more quickly and with greater nuance. You understand where collaboration breaks down and gain the language needed to make this discussable. By consciously aligning your behaviour with your conversation partner, you steer conversations with greater control and effectiveness.
