The ATEX Fundamentals training course is an introductory course focused on understanding explosion safety and the core principles of ATEX. You will gain insight into the causes of explosion hazards, the associated risks and why explosion safety is so important. The training course is intended as a first step for professionals who work in or around potentially explosive atmospheres and provides a sound basis for further specialisation, such as hazardous-area classification, risk assessment or technical design.
After completing this training course, you will understand:
what an explosion hazard is and how it can arise;
which substances and conditions can create explosion risks;
the basic principles of working safely in accordance with ATEX;
how to recognise and assess risks in practice;
why explosion safety is essential for workplace safety.
After completing ATEX Fundamentals, you will be better able to recognise risks and work safely in potentially explosive atmospheres.

The ATEX Fundamentals training course consists of one evening session. The fee is €425, excluding VAT. Study materials and a certificate of participation are included.
