Reinforced concrete may appear manageable on paper, but problems often arise during construction. Incorrect interpretation of reinforcement drawings, insufficient concrete cover, incorrect reinforcement placement and inadequate control of the placement process can lead to stress development, cracking and unintended load transfer. In industrial environments, this directly creates risks for foundations, support structures and equipment. The quality of a concrete structure is not determined by the design alone, but by the consistency between design, work preparation and construction. Deviations often arise in the transition between these stages.
This training course takes an end-to-end view of reinforced concrete. You will learn how material properties, reinforcement and construction decisions influence one another, and where failure mechanisms can occur. The focus is not on theory alone, but on practical situations in which tolerances are exceeded and details no longer perform their intended function.

This training course is intended for professionals responsible for the quality and construction of concrete structures within projects. It is aimed at engineers and specialists involved in design, work preparation or construction who need to be able to identify and assess deviations.
The training course is suitable for project engineers and construction engineers, work planners and site supervisors, inspectors and QA/QC specialists, as well as engineers working on industrial projects in the process industry, energy and offshore sectors.
This training course consists of three evening sessions. Course materials and a certificate of participation are included.
